Liquid leaks usually occur when the tubing breaks in the pump head due to excessive occlusion. To detect a leak, place the capacitance sensor pad under the pump head. Less than 1 mL of most fluids will trigger the alarm. This method of protection virtually eliminates loss of costly fluid or damage from hazardous chemicals.
