OVERVIEW

Wet dispersion: The ideal standard-solution

For most samples wet dispersion represents the ideal method for perfect dispersion. Therefore, the sample material is fed either as a dry powder or also as a suspension into a closed liquid circulation system. The wet dispersion is suitable for almost all materials which do not dissolve in liquid. The advantage compared to the dry dispersion is the higher efficiency and greater flexibility of the dispersion process and the mostly very simple and comfortable handling.

An integrated ultrasonic emitter with up to 100 Watt of ultrasonic power and adjustable dispersion conditions ensures fast and extremely efficient degradation of the agglomerates – precisely adapted to each sample. Due to the integrated water connection, the wet dispersion unit can be automatically cleaned and refilled with new liquid after each measurement. And is quickly ready to be used again.

POWERFUL PUMP

A powerful centrifugal pump with individually adjustable speed allows the entire circuit to be moved completely more than ten times per minute. This high performance pump ensures optimal transport of even heavy, high-density particles and facilitates the fast and uniform distribution of the sample material in the entire circulation system. Your advantage: a stable measurement.

VARIABLE ULTRASONIC-DISPERSION

For the degradation of the strongly bound agglomerates the utilization of ultrasonic is necessary.
An integrated ultrasonic emitter with up to 100 Watt of ultrasonic power, freely adjustable and adjustable dispersion conditions ensures fast and extremely efficient degradation of the agglomerates – precisely adapted to each sample.

The illuminated dispersion bath, ergonomically positioned, making it incredibly easy to feed the sample and observe the dispersion process. With a separate soundproof ultrasonic chamber, we have drastically reduced the unpleasant noise emissions during the dispersion process. Your advantage: the quietest dispersion currently available.

The performance of the integrated ultrasonic emitter can be adjusted with the software MaS control just like the duration of an individual- or between two consecutive measurements.

VARIABLE SUSPENSION VOLUME

The wet dispersion unit consists of a closed liquid circuit with a volume of approximately 300, 400 or 500 ml, which can be adjusted via software.

FULLY PROGRAMMABILITY

The free programmability of the entire dispersion process allows a specific and exact reproducible dispersion of even difficult sample materials.

Besides simple parameters like pump speed and ultrasonic-intensity in the SOPs can complex dispersion cycles with user-defined pauses, several consecutive measurements and of course automatic rinsing and refilling of the dispersion unit be defined.

AUTOMATION OF MEASUREMENT SERIES

Ideal for the automation of measurement series is the FRITSCH AutoSampler: 26 positions for 40 ml containers are available for complete sample feeding, automatic dispersion, measurement and cleaning.

MEASURING CELL

If necessary enables the cartridge design a fast and simple cleaning of the measuring cell: Hereby the cartridge is simply removed from the shaft of the measuring unit, taken apart within a few minutes, cleaned and assembled again.

USED MATERIALS

The entire dispersion unit consists of high-quality materials. Materials parts in contact with the sample circuit consist of high-quality stainless steel 1.4404 (SS316L), PTFE, BK7 glass, Viton® Extreme, silicone-hoses. So basically the most common organic solvents may be used in the wet dispersion unit.

INTEGRATED WATER CONNECTION

Ideally for the wet dispersion unit is a connection to an existing fresh and waste water supply (10 mm adapter), whereas a fully automatic rinsing of the system after a measurement becomes possible. The rinsing routine, as well as the desired amount of liquid to be filled into the unit, can be adjusted via the MaS control software.

Generally, normal tap water is perfectly adequate for wet dispersion. In rare cases, it may be necessary to use distilled water. Just ask us – we will be happy to advise you.

If a sufficient water supply at the working station for the unit does not exist, then with the 24 V adapter of the dispersion unit, an external pump can be utilised to pump the liquid from a separate tank into the dispersion unit.

NO DEAD SPACE IN THE CIRCULATION SYSTEM

The integrated motor-driven 4/2-way ball valve with a cross-drilled opening and Teflon core enables measurement and rinsing of the liquid circulation system completely without dead space. You receive an absolutely immaculate measurement and rinsing result, even with coarse or heavy particles.

The transparent hoses made of silicone with especially smooth interior surfaces are barely susceptible to deposits and make soiling or blockages directly visible.
