This analyzer is dedicated to the analysis of Fuel Dilution of In-Service Engine Oils according to ASTM D7593.
The sample is introduced by the Automatic Liquid Sampler (ALS) into the Split/Splitless inlet, where it is mixed with clean carrier gas. One part of the blend will be directed to the split vent, while the other part enters the analytical column. The analytical separates the individual components in a temperature-programmed oven run. After elution of the marker component (Dodecane for Gasoline, Eicosane for Diesel, Heneicosane for Biodiesel) the rest of the components are backflushed. Detection is done by the Flame Ionization Detector (FID).

A Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) allows for verification of the instruments performance to the agreed specifications at the AC factory by means of calibrations or sample analysis prior to shipment. Such acceptance test needs to be requested and ordered separately.
