Plane frame with strain gauge for member forces measuring

The plane truss is designed as an accessory for the SE 100 frame. It is subjected to tensile or compressive load with specially designed loading devices. The load on the truss is applied by means of a specially designed load shoe. The support points of the truss are fitted with hardened base plates for statically determinate bearings. Suitable fixed and floating bearings are included in the SE 100.01 accessory kit.

Depending on the experimental setup, the SE 100.12 accessory kit with one loading device or the SE 100.02 accessory kit with two loading devices are available.

Different load states can be run through in experiments and the reaction to the load recorded and analysed. This makes it possible to demonstrate the load bearing capacity of the design by means of experiment.

The forces occurring on bars of the truss are measured by means of strain gauges. All measuring points are combined in a connection box. This is connected to the FL 152 measuring amplifier. The software in FL 152 is used to manage the measured values and display the member forces graphically. The software also includes a comprehensive help function. Furthermore, the deflection is indicated by means of dial gauges, available as accessory SE 100.03.
