- More efficient labeling of short oligonucleotides
- Simple—get reliable, uniform labeling in approximately one hour
Diverse choice of labels: fluorophores, biotin, haptens, and affinity ligands (not included)
EndTag DNA labeling systems are ideal for applications where an internal label might interfere with hybridization or sequence specific protein binding. Systems make labeling of short oligonucleotides more efficient and is an economical alternative to having labels inserted during synthesis. Both EndTag systems enable the covalent attachment of a variety of fluorescent dyes, haptens, or affinity tags to the respective ends of the nucleic acids using thiol-specific chemistry. Labels containing thiol-reactive groups can easily be incorporated. Note: Reactions require labeling reagents (Biotin maleimide, DNP maleimide, Fluorescein maleimide, Fucose maleimide, Texas Red® maleimide). The 5’ EndTag Nucleic Acid Labeling System (93952-13) permits labeling of the 5’ ends of DNA, RNA, or unmodified oligonucleotides. It is ideal for PCR primers because it leaves the 3’ ends unmodified. Kit is designed to perform 10 labeling reactions of up to 0.6 nmols of 5’ ends per reaction.
